We tried to break away from the everyday routine and squeeze in a couple of days at the beach before the grandkids arrived. Wouldn't you know, it was windy and even rained a few drops. Nice dinner in a restaurant, all the same, and the palm trees in the wind were spectacular.
Some days when I go out I only catch bits and pieces of this or that in my small journal. An architectural detail, people waiting for the bus or in the bus, different views of the low mountains.

The "take-a-line-for-a-walk" got rather carried away, looking a bit like fire.
Exams are pretty much wrapped up. The "suffering students" theme can be put to rest for the summer.

Having spent some time visiting in a hospital last week, I needed a small stitching project to tote along.
Women will start talking to me when I'm stitching, especially if they do some kind of handwork at home. What I don't understand is how people sit around for hours in waiting rooms doing nothing...
This is just playing with beautiful colors of leftover bits from a journal page. Just couldn't throw them out, so I'm stitching them down with a running stitch, leaving the raw edges. Doodling.
