Back to Wings, 7

The Wings keep circling back into my creative time, little that there is.
While I'm sewing down leaves full of pins on the Pomegranate Tree (a prickly and time-consuming undertaking, even on the machine), I've inched along a bit here.
I get lost in the needle-turn appliqué, pleasantly entangled.

I just love how this is progressing, Nadia--that lower right woven block in the background is really wonderful! Hugs, Julierose

Oh, I do love what you do with this technique...and your colour selections. Yummy!

What loveliness to get lost in!

I love your results with this tedious technique of yours, Nadia. The needleturning is one thing but then they are also intertwined and tangled in the loveliest way.

How is it that your wings can resemble roots --and the reserve. That is Nadia.

I too love your applique technique. Please, please do give some hints on how your do this.

Since seeing your pieces, I've tried my hand at random applique, top piece basted to the bottom piece, just cutting, turning and hand-stitching. But I just cannot fathom how you intertwine the various fabrics. Thanks!
