Usually I do the sketch in ink and then add color. If I want to use colored pencils, I color at home, but, I have portable palettes of watercolors and Derwent Inktense that are easy to use on the go. I showed them a few posts back. Sometimes I do the watercolors first.
Traffic jams are not my only subject when going out. We have a few low mountains that I never tire of sketching.
