Fun with Flowers

For "Artfully Inspired Life," a tulip alphabet and a quotation to cheerfully usher in spring. I need the "cheerful" part--amazing how working with those pretty colors keeps me out of the dumps!

Sunshine

Trying to finish things up for Joanne Sharpe before I leave to Paris for my husband's operation. This should really have the last line of the song as a text: "Please don't take my sunshine away." Facing the future with hope, all the same.

African Statuette

Man, did I have fun drawing this small African statuette at Sketch Club. Done in my junky journal with bad paper, I worked fast and scratchy. Very pleasurable...

I added a watercolor background later...just slopped on the paint.
