Spring is here, the days warm up if the sun comes out, the birds and bees are going wild with enthusiasm, and the almond trees have put out their blossoms. This made me think that I would like to wear one of my tunics this spring. So I pulled it out and stitched in bed last night.
Do you see the pocket (burgundy) nestled in among the strands?
Now I think I see how the strands should travel: up and over the right shoulder (as you look at it), down across the back and up the left front only half way....maybe. I'm thinking that this combination of colors is so out-of-style and untrendy. I can't think that I've seen much burgundy or maroon on the internet lately. Untrendy suits me.

It is so beautiful. I love the way it grows. And I've been thinking about you, as I read of a new constitution and hope for the future. I do hope that what I read is accurate and that things are improving.
Nadia, your work is so very different from anything else out there...and every time you post I issue a prayer of thanksgiving that you and yours are still safe...with, as Martha wrote, hope for the future. :-)
Your work is always so unexpected. Keep it up. I love being surprised by it.
I am so impressed. It looks wonderful so far - and I guess even better when finished. I still remember the beautiful one you did for your daughter. You might be a trendsetter.
I'm always awe struck seeing your hunks of fabrics turn into such fabulous designs!
I would call these colors classic and your work , as usual, is mind boggling.
You are going to look fabulous wearing this. I really like the over the shoulder and up the left side.
I really like the burgundy and blue, to me the check is unexpected, but it works great. I really like the organic feel of how it just flows!
Beautiful piece! I love the way the fabrics intertwine and mingle!
May not be trendy colors but you'll be stopped for people to look at it closer and exclaim over it. I can just picture you cozy hand stitching! I rarely try to do clothes anymore but appreciate hand made clothing.

I just love your work I can't imagine how you start a piece. Beautiful job.Rosemary
I like those colors together. My husband lived in Tunisia for awhile. One of the many things he remembers fondly about it is the amazing wildflowers in the Spring. Hope all is peaceful around you.
Nadia, that is amazing!
I still cannot figure out how you do this. It is so amazing,
intriguing and inspiring. I love looking at your work.
