Further Knottings, 4

Whew! The French knots seem to be finished for the moment.
I'm thinking I can put the sandwich together now, but, I'll have to do it in a big space as this will easily measure 6' by 6' and it has a tendency to grow.

Don't you just love French knots! Once I finally learned them, I seem to find plenty of ways to use them to create texture.

I have enjoyed watching this piece evolve!

What a colourful piece -- like rain in the woods. I admit I am more fond of seed stitch and beading than of French knots, but once I learned from Gail Harker that the knots could be 'sloppy' (loose) and still have great effect, I relaxed and learned to enjoy them more. :-)

For what it's worth, I think the knots were well worth your time to add. Looking good!

Hi Nadia. I was wondering recently if you had finished your pomegranate quilt. I see you're still busy adding more details. Sounds like it's going to be huge! Looking forward to seeing what you do next with it.

Nadia! So many knots! you must be knotty by now! It's gorgeous and textured. Perfect. How in the world do you quilt around the knots?

Thanks to all for taking the time to comment. LeeAnna, I suppose I'll quilt in between the lines of French knots and probably by hand, but maybe by machine. I'll cross that bridge when I get there!

OMG - I just realized that you said 6 ft by 6 ft - lordy -that's a ton of work. Now I know I've been watching it grow but I didn't realize that it was true to size! LOL AWEsome!! (I bow to your greatness)
