White Squares & Circles, 2

When I placed the squares in a nine-patch on this piece, I thought I would eventually do running stitch on them in straight lines and line up the straight lines and then go in a perpendicular direction, just nice straight lines. I've seen it done and I really like the effect. Only problem: drat! I can't do it.
As soon as I start stitching my needle begins to wander, it wants to connect things in different ways.
One might call it needle doodling.

I like this piece you're working on. What will you do with it when finished?

Your needle is the 'genius' in your work. Remember geniuses follow their own path so let it wind the course it wants to take. :) Lovin' your white work Nadia. Delightful!

Hi Nadia ... wow i am enjoying rambling with your needle - love the texture that seems to be you and this white on white piece is lovely. the doodling and connecting is apt.

i read you are coming into summer - this while i hunker down in distinctly cooler days waiting for winter - i look forward to exploring the seasons with you as i read about your exploits >> Gina
