The End is in Sight

Just adding a few circles and stitching a few holes in reverse appliqué, and then I think I can stop on this tunic.

No, wait!

After looking at the photos (I so love my blogs for showing me), I see that I have to add some strands to get some flow from one side to the other. Drat! I was being optimistic when I said that the end was in sight!

Linked to Nina Marie's "Off the Wall Friday."

Yes, I see what you mean...having just read something Elizabeth Barton wrote about 'balance' in a piece...without some connection, there is more 'weight' on one side of your piece than the other. The key will be to know when the balance is just right. :-)

I really like the circles- I think they give a nice balance to the dark and linear of the rest. This is a really lovely piece.

The "holes" really add to the composition, it's wonderful.

i would add one long blue check tendril making it's way up that open area towards the neck and crawling through a buttonhole at the collar. maybe have a node or 2 trying to stray off of it along the way.

i want to touch this!! i love jude's raw edge working, but i also find this needle-turn really talking to me.

i was pursuing through your posts for the past 2 years or so, and i had a great laugh when i read that you couldn't stitch a straight line for the life of you...neither can i, there are too many other pathways to take.

Sometmes it's hard to know when to stop, but I do see what you mean. As always, though, your appliqué is astonishing.

Nadia, I always get excited to see your name on a link party, to see what you are doing these days. This is very dynamic.

Quite often the photo tells me something that I don't see just looking at the design wall. Interesting phenomenon. Love what you have so far!
